14K Gold and Lapis

Overlaying images and words in a single work of art is rooted in tradition--inscribed classical architecture...illuminated manuscripts...works by early 20^th century surrealists and dadaists...Picasso...Braque. Yet the effect is fresh and current. The pieces I've designed with this approach are inspired by the lines engraved upon them. I've used the original Latin because they add dimension, subtlety and mystery. And I like the way the words look.
